About Me:
Ghadeer Saeed is a visual artist with a background in architecture. Her work is an intricate exploration of her emotional and intellectual engagement with time, space, and significant events—particularly social and political ones. Through layered compositions, she weaves together emotions, memories, and imagined narratives, creating deeply psychological and thought-provoking visuals. She strives to produce scenes that stand apart, resonating with viewers on both an emotional and intellectual level.
Her practice spans various techniques, from complex digital collages to acrylic painting and experimental printmaking, reflecting her continuous pursuit of artistic discovery. She held her first and second solo exhibitions in Amman, Jordan, in 2010 and 2013. Later, she participated through Dar Al-Anda in international art events such as Contemporary Istanbul 2015, Beirut Art Fair 2016, and Cairo Art Fair 2025, followed by her third solo exhibition in Istanbul in 2018. Her works are part of notable collections, including the Jordan National Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art MOCA Yinchuan in China, the Barjeel Foundation in Dubai, and the National Museum of Qatar.
Artist Statement
My artistic practice is a psychological journey through which I translate my thoughts and interactions with time, space, and significant events—particularly social and political ones. My work unfolds in layered compositions, weaving together deep emotions, memories, and imagined narratives. I strive to create scenes that defy convention, resonating with the viewer on both an intellectual and emotional level.
I explore a range of techniques, from purely digital collages—meticulously constructed from interwoven images and drawings—to acrylic paintings infused with hand-cut collage and experimental printmaking methods. Some of my works are created entirely with acrylic paint, allowing me to explore color, texture, and expression in a more direct and gestural way. In other pieces, I integrate multiple media to build rich visual interactions. Experimentation is at the core of my process, allowing me to constantly discover and develop new artistic approaches that reflect my personal vision.
